We are NOUSMADIC
Nousmadic is a creative duo, Raf and Debora, exploring the world through film and photography. We tell visual stories of travel and place, capturing fleeting moments and lasting emotions, whether through moving images or fine art prints.
Obviously we love travelling! We love travelling so much that we’ve decided to do it full-time. Ok, you get the idea, right?
After many years of working for big London companies in the film and music industries, we decided to start a new adventure, our own business adventure. We’re mainly focusing on photography and filmmaking, but we also get involved with commercial work, like motion design, video editing, digital marketing, web design.
Our goal and purpose is to capture the unique essence of each place we visit. Through our photographs and films we aim at bringing those places and moments into your experience.
The name Nousmadic is a game of words, Nous and Nomadic.
Nous is an English word derived from Greek that means “mind” or “intellect”, often associated with a sense of wisdom, insight, and thoughtful creativity. It represents our approach to life and work: thoughtful, intentional, and driven by curiosity.
Nomadic refers to a lifestyle of constant movement, exploration, and adaptability, embracing the freedom to roam and discover new places, ideas, and experiences.
By combining these two, Nousmadic embodies the idea of living and creating with purpose while constantly exploring new horizons, both in the physical world and within the realms of creativity and thought. It’s about blending intellect with adventure, and taking the journey wherever it may lead.

Debora
Hey there! I’m Debora.
Creativity and curiosity have always been my driving forces. My professional journey has taken me through some interesting twists and turns. I spent years working in the film industry as a lighting and compositing artist on feature animation projects, but before all that, I was immersed in web design, music video production, and graphic design.
But travel? That’s been my true passion all along. There’s something about being on the road that makes me feel “whole”: it’s the best way to see the world, gain fresh perspectives, and learn more about myself.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and decided to hit the road full-time, combining my creative skills, as a photographer and filmmaker, with my love for exploration. And that’s when Nousmadic really started to take shape.
Oh, last but not least, I’m totally obsessed with food, I love cooking and eating! (My Italian origin might have something to do with it!)
Hi! I’m Raf.
I’ve always been drawn to the road. Travelling has been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember, and so far it has taken me through more than 40 countries across the globe.
My creative journey began with music. For over 30 years I played bass in different bands, recorded two albums, and later moved into composing film music – some of which we now use in our Nousmadic YouTube films. Music taught me how to feel rhythm and emotion, and that same sense of storytelling slowly carried me towards visual expression.
When I moved to London, I discovered photography – and that was the turning point. The camera became my way of capturing not just places, but the emotions of travelling. From landscapes to fleeting moments on the road, photography grew into my main creative voice. Filmmaking and animation soon followed, giving me new ways to share the stories I encountered while exploring the world.
For over a decade I worked in the music industry as a Digital Designer, balancing sound and visuals, but my love for independence and the open road kept calling.
Since the summer of 2023, my partner and I have been living full-time in our van, Ginger. Every day brings a new horizon to photograph, a new story to film, and a new moment to capture. What started as a passion has become my way of life – travelling, creating, and sharing the beauty of the world through the lens.

The Journey
Creative Ideas In Motion
Since Summer 2023 we are mostly on the road, travelling in our van called Ginger.
Being on the road allows us to gain a very particular perspective of a permanent outsider, but after some time the patterns and repetitions begin to emerge. And yet, each place we visit is unique, and not like anything we’ve seen before.
With a bit of surprise, we’ve discovered that life on the road is a rather busy one. Things you normally take for granted, suddenly need to be carefully organised, and just going about your day can completely fill your time.
But in all of this, we finally feel alive. Alive to the core of our beings! Being on the road and heading to a new location often feels almost like a life-changing event. We never know what is going to happen. But what we know for sure, is that the next day will be completely different than the one before!
The journey continues. Always.
